Engineering at Covent:

Our entire stack has been built using Python in the backend and Angular/Ionic in the frontend. This position will start as an individual contributor role with the opportunity to grow and manage a team as we scale Covent.

As our founding engineering hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Covent’s technology stack and product roadmap. This is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to take ownership of the technical side of a startup, contribute to solving meaningful challenges, and work closely with our founder and team to drive impact.

What You’ll Do

• Product Development: Build and maintain a scalable, user-friendly platform for customer personas: marketers, sponsors and event organisers.
• System Architecture: Design and implement a reliable backend and frontend system to support rapid growth.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the founders and tech team to define technical requirements, prioritize features, and deliver outstanding user experiences.
• Innovation: Bring ideas to life by rapidly prototyping, testing, and iterating on features.
• Ownership: Take full responsibility for the codebase, ensure quality through clean code, and implement best practices in testing and security.
